RMNP - Male Elk

Posted by Yonatan (New York, United States) on 28 November 2012 in Animal & Insect.

Photograph taken in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado

During our return trip on Trail Ridge Road we were delayed slightly by a few elk which decided to place themselves very close to the road. Luckily a park ranger was present to help direct traffic and keep everyone safe. I, like many, had to stop and take pictures! The females are not in this frame, but the male elk pictured here is making sure he keeps his harem in line.

Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog.

I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.

Best wishes,

Yonatan
