Our days visiting Cape Town were jam packed with things to do and see. As a photographer, I had to make sure to be in a prime location when the light was at its best. For each night I had mapped out a location that would give us a nice view of Table Mountain in the distance. On this evening, before going to dinner, we took a taxi to Milnerton Beach.
From my reading online I was expecting a truly beautiful beach with wonderful views of Table Mountain. The views of Table Mountain afforded from this location are spectacular, but as you can see from the picture above, the weather was not exactly cooperating as there was a stubborn cloud system that hung over Table Mountain for quite some time. I was surprised by how dirty Milnerton Beach was. I found garbage practically everywhere, and I had to work very hard to create this composition which did not include ugly garbage! To balance out the scene I used my new Singh Ray graduated neutral density filters.
Next we will take a trip to beautiful wine country just outside of Cape Town.

Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog.
I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.
