This is not a Photoshop trick!

Artist Jaume Plensa has erected a 44 foot tall sculture of a girl's head on the lawn of Madison Square Park in New York City. Yesterday, I took a walk with my camera and tripod and photographed the Madison Square Park area.

I chose to create an HDR of this scene and process is a bit more aggressively than my usual style as I felt it fit well with the bizzare, out-of-this-world feeling that you get when you look at this monstrosity.

I hope you all enjoy! Of note, the previous day's image marks my first Aminu3 post with my new DSLR, the Olympus E-5. I am still getting acquainted with the camera, but I am very excited to be able to bring my photography to another level and be able to try some techniques that my last camera did not allow me to. Stay tuned!

If you enjoy my work you may visit my permanent website where you can view my photos.

Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog.

I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.

Best wishes,
