Getting ready for wedlock

Posted by Yonatan (New York, United States) on 13 June 2010 in People & Portrait.

Recently my fiancee's best friend got married. The couple had hired a single pro photographer, but they asked me if I wouldn't mind bringing my camera along and acting as a second photographer. At first I hesitated because I didn't want to get in the way of the professional, but I came around after realizing that since my fiancee was the maid of honor I would need to keep myself occupied to fend off boredom.

I brought all my gear with me and had an absolute blast documenting their beautiful wedding. I stayed with the bride for a bit while she was getting ready. In order to get nice even lighting I used my hotshoe flash with a Lumiquest 80/20 diffuser attached.

Over the next little while I show you all some of my favorite shots.

Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog.

I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.

Best wishes,

Yonatan
