Jail Cell - HDR

Posted by Yonatan (New York, United States) on 12 February 2010 in Documentary & Street.

We got hit with a pretty good snow storm a few days ago and I had a lot of fun staying in and going through the archives creating HDRs of my images.

This HDR was taken at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia over the summer. I had really liked this picture, but never posted it because I didn't feel like it was showing the grittiness of the cell properly. Thanks to HDR, I think this cell really comes to life. You can almost feel the textures on the wall, a feeling that I'm sure its inmate became intimately familiar.

Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog.

I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.

Best wishes,
