New Year's Eve Portrait

Posted by Yonatan (New York, United States) on 7 January 2010 in People & Portrait.

I spent a wonderful New Year's Eve with a bunch of my college friends. This is a portrait of our wonderful hosts for the evening, Frank & Dara.

For this picture I used my f/2.0 100mm macro lens and speedlight with a Lumiquest 80/20 diffuser. I love how this lens enabled me to blur the Christmas tree into a beautiful background.

Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog.

I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.

Best wishes,

Yonatan
