Happy Chanukah!

Posted by Yonatan (New York, United States) on 18 December 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture.

My fiancee's parents bought us a beautiful oil menorah for Chanukah. I've always had a candle menorah and this oil menorah is a real treat to have. The process is more laborious, but it's a lot of fun and I think it's a great piece to look at during the Chanukah holiday.

My initial plan was to capture a picture of the menorah fully lit. Seeing that the holiday is almost over and I had a picture of cockroach on my blog for several days I thought it was time to change gears. I took this picture with my new macro lens. From the recent trend in my photos you can surmise two things. 1) I love the macro lens! 2) It's really cold outside and I haven't had much opportunity for landscape shots (I'm hoping some snow will change all that).

I hope everybody celebrating has enjoyed their Chanukah so far. My belly sure is full of latkes and I plan on stuffing a few more in before the holiday ends.

Chag sameach!

Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog.

I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.

Best wishes,

Yonatan
