Those of you who have been following my photoblog on this site that don't actually know me have heard me mention my girlfriend many many times. She is an absolutely wonderful woman who has been the center of my life for the past four years. Our time together is always special. She compassionate, funny, sweet, and always makes me smile. Life is wonderful with her. On Friday August 21st, 2009 we got engaged.

On the day that I proposed she thought we were celebrating our 4 year anniversary (one week late because I was studying for the medical boards during our real anniversary). I brought my camera & tripod along for the day (as usual). I told her that I wanted to get a nice portrait of the two of us and after coming to this spot in Longwood Gardens, I set up the shot with my telephoto lens. There was a hobbyist photographer nearby and I asked if he would be willing to take some pictures of us. I quietly told him that I was about to propose. He was very happy to get involved and wound up taking about 12 great photos, in a a flip book fashion of the entire proposal.

When things settle down in a few days, I will start to post more photos from the gardens and from the rest of the weekend.

If you enjoy my work you may visit my permanent website where you can view my photos.

Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog.

I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.

Best wishes,
