Tranquility

Posted by Yonatan (New York, United States) on 12 August 2009 in People & Portrait.

A little over a month ago one of my good friend's from childhood had a graduation party at a beautiful house with acres of gardens to explore. It was wonderful. Before the main course was to be served my girlfriend and I ducked out, went to the car, and got my camera gear out. We walked around the lovely gardens and composed a few shots.

When I was setting up to take this shot, my girlfriend wandered off and found a very tranquil spot to sit and reflect. I took the opportunity to capture this moment. Originally I had planned the shot to be devoid of people, but I think the shot is much more emotional with her sitting in the corner.

Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog.

I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.

Best wishes,

Yonatan
