Pink Bicycle

Posted by Yonatan (New York, United States) on 2 February 2009 in Transportation.

For about two weeks I noticed this pink bicycle parked outside our translational research building at my medical school. Every single day I told myself that I needed to get my camera and take a shot of it.

I think I envisioned the bike's color "popping" a bit more. A did a bit of post-processing in Lightroom and am fairly happy with the result. The shot was taken midday which I know is not ideal as the bright sun can wash out colors. If it's still parked here I'll try to go back and get a shot when it's not in direct sunlight.

For those wondering, "translational research" is a concept whereby basic science medicine is pursued in a manner that will allow it to move from bench to bedside quickly. Their is emphasis of collaboration between the basic scientists and the clinicians and clinician scientists to achieve this goal.

Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog.

I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.

Best wishes,
