View of ManhattanPosted by Yonatan (Bronx, United States) on 12 January 2009 in Cityscape & Urban. A cold desolate night On my way back to NYC from a nice weekend visiting family, I made an impromptu detour to Liberty State Park in New Jersey. For those who do not know the area, this park is situated just west of Manhattan giving the visitor a spectacular view of NYC and also of The Statue of Liberty. It was about 6pm and freezing cold and I parked the car and walked for a bit to this location. After shooting some pictures of Lady Liberty I noticed the lamp posts and they view beyond them. I like this shot because it really shows how peaceful this park was on this cold winter evening. On this evening the moon was full and was giving off a reddish glow to its surrounds. I wish I could have captured the enormous moon, but it was out of site at this location. Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog. I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.
