Old East River DockPosted by Yonatan (Bronx, United States) on 31 December 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. If it wasn't for the graffiti perhaps for a few moments your mind could be allowed to think that you were in a rural town out in the country with few distractions and even fewer people looking at an abandoned dock in a once vibrant fishing town. Alas, this is yet another shot that I took one evening at the East River in NYC. With my tripod's legs fully compacted I placed my camera's lens in between the fence that was was erected to discourage pedestrians from walking along the meager 20 foot beach. The scene looks quite tranquil, not something that you experience too often on a New York City night. Tomorrow I will post one last image from my evening taking pictures at this location. Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog. I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.
