Brooklyn Bridge Reflections

Posted by Yonatan (Bronx, United States) on 29 December 2008 in Cityscape & Urban.

After a nonexistent sunset, I hung around the South Street Seaport waiting for it to get dark hoping I would get some interesting pictures of the Brooklyn bridge at night. I was surprised by how bland the bridge looked at night with the heavy fog, but I was happy to notice some beautiful reflections in the water.

I played around for a while trying to figure out how to compose the image, but I must say that I wasn't able to find the ideal angle. I tried a portrait version, but settled on landscape, but then the problem was how much of the bridge to include. I'd appreciate any input as to what you think might have made this composition stronger.

Thank you for taking some time to take a look at my photographs. I hope you enjoy your stop at my blog.

I invite you all to visit frequently and leave comments and feedback. I would really appreciate constructive criticism that will help me improve. You don't need to be a photographer to help me, tell me what you like and don't like. If you have any suggestions of interesting things to shoot or fun techniques to try I'd also love to know.

Best wishes,

Yonatan
